Lions Secure New Home Field!

The Cleveland Lions A.F.C Inc are very proud to announce that they will be playting all of their 2007 Home games at Bedford Bearcat Stadium located at 481 Northfield Road, Bedford, OH.
Bearcat Stadium features seating for 5,000 people, an eight-lane all-weather track, artificial-turf football field, state-of-the-art press box, and a services support building. This building contains locker rooms, a weight room, a concession area, restrooms, storage areas, team meeting room, and coaches' offices. The facility has won numerous awards for architectural design and was rated the #1 Athletic Facility by the Cleveland Plain Dealer on May 25,2006. br>Stadium Features include:
- 5,000 seat capacity, 3,000 on the home side, 2,000 on the visitors side including seating for 50 spectators in wheelchairs.
- Pressbox with 2 levels located 44 feet above the playing surface with the first level providing seating for announcers, scouts and reporters. The second level contains a room with tv hookup for videotaping and a coaches room for each team.
- Scoreboard measuring 520 sq ft. which features a message center with changeable graphics and displays.
- The playing serface features Fieldturf, which looks and feels like natural grass. This is the same brand turf that is used at the University of Michigan football stadium, the Georgia Dome and the Minneapolis Metrodome.
- The Lions organization would like to thank Offensive Tackle Chris Collins for going above the call of duty in doing the legwork to make this move possible as well as the Bedford City School District for being so accomodating in helping the Lions secure this beautiful facility for the 2007 season.
